Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, a stone’s throw from Cheltenham was the location for our lavender field wedding shoot. Combining the Cotswold Countryside with French lavender, this shoot takes inspiration from French Provancale to illustrate how to have your destination wedding at home.
French Provancale Meets British Cotswolds
The soft purple hues of the lavender combined with the heady scent exude romance. With this in mind, we wanted a dress that embodied soft dreamy romantic but reflected the relaxed and natural setting. Carina Baverstock Couture had the perfect dress, designed by E&W. It featured casual t-shirt style sleeves, a super long train, and a low V back. This fabric also has an unusual raised embroidery of leaves and berries that covers the whole gown.
To complement the romantic look of the Bride, the Groom had a more relaxed look. He wore natural coloured chinos, along with a light blue tweed jacket from Skopes. Beautiful earrings and necklace were supplied by Snow Jewels. In addition, there was a silver and amethyst headpiece by The Lucky Sixpence. To complete the relaxed and romantic look an amazing bouquet. This was created By Raven and Ryegrass coupled with the showpiece ceremony.
A Lavender Field Wedding Dream
Leanna from Leanna Elizabeth weddings did the most amazing job of styling the shoot. And created the most romantic wedding breakfast table. With a wooden trestle table, swathed in a white lace runner, with laced-edged napkins.
Beautiful silver glass reef chargers along with white dinner plates with scalloped edges and small white plates with a lilac floral edge created the dinner setting. Vintage glassware and silver cutlery was added to complete the look.
For the Table plan area, we used a vintage wooden wheelbarrow. Milk churns decorated with heather and lavender accessorised. Along with a silver tray with fruity drinks. And a whiteboard including table details. Resulting in a French appearance to the setting
A Heavenly Lavender Wedding Cake
Georgiana of Posh and Cake created in incredible cake. A lavender flavoured, white and purple marbled cake. Lavender and macaroons decorated.
The Sweet Scent Of Romance
To end a magical day the couple walked through the lavender field. Bees buzzed about euphoric on the heady scent of lavender. It was the perfect place to stop and enjoy the moment, with a kiss and a cuddle.
