A Laid Back Country Wedding at Wick Farm

Joanna and Robert met at sixth form college, where they knew each other through friends. And it seemed that’s what they were destined to be – just ‘friends’, until fate stepped in and years later they ended up chatting on a dating app. One thing led to another and before long they had progressed from chatting on the dating app to chatting in person, and before long they were dating. A few years later and many wonderful dates later, Robert took Joanna to her favourite beach in Penzance, Cornwall, where he got down on one knee in a puddle of sea water and asked her to marry him. To which Joanna delightedly accepted.

And so we find ourselves at the beautiful Wick Farm in Bath. Having fallen in love with it’s elegance and rustic charm , Joanna and Robert found the perfect venue for their laid back wedding full of family and friends.

They both wanted a wedding that would be set amid the countryside for a laid back country style wedding, with touches of glamour to give a magical fairy tale feel to the day. The Barn was decorated with swags of fairylights  hanging from the ceiling for that magical feel. The tables were decorated with simple white linens and vases of soft pinks and white and green foliage for an elegant but country feel. Pretty little tea lights on the tables completed the look to give that elegant and magical feel to the day.

Joanna looked radiant in her beautiful chiffon gown and cute little heart shoes by Vivienne Westwood, whilst Robert looked equally dashing in his tweed suit as they both tied the knot. And although the weather started off as being miserable and grey with rain, like every fairy tale it ended happily ever after as the day ended with a glorious sunset.
