One of the reasons that Alexa and Dan chose to elope was that when it came to saying ‘I do’ and making that commitment to each other, they wanted the day to be about them, their friendship and their love for each other. They didn’t want to end up being distracted by other things and wrangled into trying to please everybody, whilst pleasing no one, and not actually having the day they wanted. So an elopement wedding seemed the perfect option.
After a lot of research they both decided that Millbook Estate was the perfect location. Tucked away from it all, off the beaten tracks, with it’s beautiful gardens and woodland it really hit the spot for an idyllic secret elopement wedding.
With just their two mums as witnesses, along with their pet dog, Alexa and Dan and Dan tied the knot in the most beautiful and intimate ceremony. Dressed in a stunning lilac Dulcinea Dress, shoes by Irregular Choice and the most beautiful bouquet and flower crown in her soft curls which had a hit of pink in them, by Alice Shaw Flora, Alexa looked like she had just stepped out of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Whilst Dan looked ever dashing in his blue suit.
The beautiful hot summers day was topped off by a smattering of confetti, afternoon tea in the garden and some lovely romantic woodland photos. All in all a beautiful day and the perfect summer elopement.
