Grant and Emmie first met at school, but it wasn’t until years later that Emmie saw the light and was won over by Grant’s boyish charms. A few years later Grant popped the question in their favourite local pub. And the wedding planning started.
Emmie knew immediately that she wanted then to get married Halberton Village Church, the same church that her parents had married in, and that her sister had married in. After viewing lots of different venues and finding that nothing quite hit the mark for them. They both really wanted somewhere where they could choose every detail and make it unique to them. And decided a marquee in the garden of Emmie’s parent’s was the only place that ticked all the boxes for them.
They both really wanted a relaxed day with just their closest friends and family – an Ibiza Club meets Summer Garden Wedding. Which they combined with a classic pink, green and grey theme, with crisp white tables, tall glass centre pieces. Very minimalist and modern. In keeping wit the chic summertime celebration Emmie wore a beautiful strapless gown by Pronovias from Sassi Holford teamed with a classic pair of Christian Louboutins. Grant looked equally stylish in a grey checked suit.
It’s funny of all the things you plan the one thing you can’t plan for is the weather. On the day there were grey skies and rain in bucket loads, but there was also plenty of good cheer, great atmosphere and beauty. Proving that when it comes to it that it’s not the weather that makes the wedding day special but the people sharing the day with you.
