I ‘m so delighted to finally be able to share this gorgeous Oriental styled wedding shoot jam-packed with pretty pastel colours and lots of romantic details which I styled and captured at the stunning Pennard House in Somerset. The Far East is the inspiration for this shoot. Predominantly Japan’s Sakura Season when the streets and parks are awash with pink cherry blossom.
Oriental Style at Pennard House
Flourish and Grace did an amazing job on the floral designs for the table centrepieces and bouquet. Using soft pink, Lillies, Hydrangeas and peonies with Apple blossom for that oriental blossom feel. Taking the delicate cherry blossom as the theme and using this in the floral inspiration for the centrepiece displays and bouquet. Poppleberry Crafts created the stationery suite. Which feature water-colour paintings of pink blossom with a folded ribbon accessory. Drawing from the Far East, the accessories included origami cranes and paper fans. The colour scheme is soft and light and utilises the pinks from the cherry blossom, whilst using the familiar aqua for contrast. The gold adds that extra luxurious touch to the look.
Edible Essence created a beautiful bespoke cake. It was a stunning four-tier cake with white textured icing. With a stem of pale pink sugar crafted cherry blossom climbing up the front.
Lovely Bridal supplied the wedding dress which was a Theia design. It beautifully picked up on the blossom theme with hints of pink and petals, and loose flowing design. Giving a modern twist on the wedding dress style.
Get Inspired by Blossom
The unseasonably warm weather meant that all the cherry blossom trees flowered really early. So I got creative and substituted apple blossom achieving an equally good effect. The completed look of the whole shoot is one that is soft, feminine, luxurious and romantic. With a subtle oriental feel, whilst still remaining modern and achievable.
