There’s no wedding like an Upton Barn Wedding. Which is why I was so thrilled to photograph this gorgeous wedding. Upton Barn & Walled Garden is a stunning, award-winning venue nestled amidst the beautiful Devon countryside, in Cullompton. Upton Barn has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. It consists of two barns, the walled garden and a beautiful lake. If you’re looking for a venue that feels like home with a warm welcoming atmosphere. Then look no further. As the owners say, Upton is not just a venue it’s a feeling.

The beautiful bride arrived at her Upton Barn wedding in silver Mercedes. Her bridesmaids greeted her, looking beautiful in matching peach dresses. The bride wore a stunning slinky, backless satin dress from Made with Love Bridal. Poppys Florist created the amazing colour floral displays. They consisted of pink and white peonies, David Austin roses, white dahlia, blush astilbe, fuchsia pink spray roses, white stocks and plenty of eucalypti. They hung around the gazebo and were on all the tables, as well as the bouquets.

The ceremony was an outdoor ceremony in the walled garden. The aisle consisted of a pathway, lined with lavender down to the gazebo, with the bride and bridesmaids walked down. It was a beautiful wedding ceremony with plenty of smiles all round. After the bride and Groom had said their ‘I do’s’, they walked back up the aisle to an abundance of confetti.

A Florabundant Ceremony

After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom snuck away for a few portraits. The Cocktail Kings served up some delicious fruity cocktails. Whilst their guests enjoyed the glorious May sunshine at a wonderful Upton Barn wedding.

Belly Laughing Speeches

The Wedding Breakfast was in the new Stable Barn. Tables and chairs ran the length of the room. Gold Hurricane lamps and floral runners decorated the tables. Peter Mundy Catering served an amazing meal, which guests enjoyed as they chatted with each other. In the evening the guests enjoyed bespoke Gin and Tonics. And relaxed toasting marshmallows over the brazier.

Evening Festivities at an Upton Barn Wedding

To start the evening festivities off, the bride and groom cut the cake. The groom’s mother Lyn made the amazing sponge and buttercream cake. It looked amazing with the ombre style pink and cream icing. Real flowers decorated the sides of the cake. Then the Bride and Groom had their first dance. Before ‘Those Amazing DJ’s’ kicked off the music and got the dancefloor going into the night.
