Located in the Cotswolds on the edge of Bath sits the beautiful Hamswell House. Built in the 16th Century with remodelling made to the structure in the 17th and 18th centuries, Hamswell House is a fine example of early Jacobean architecture and the English Renaissance period. The Rear of the house meanwhile embodies a more Queen Anne style, with a stone shell hood carved with acanthus leaves and beasts above the door.

A French-Inspired Wedding

Inspired by the simple patterns of the French blue Toile de Jouy, the styling incorporates soft blues with simple classic whites. And combines the beautiful ruffles of the Blue Milia London bridal gown with the big blousy blooms of the floral arrangements for that elegant but uber-romantic feel.

For the perfect ceremony setting there’s the choice of the 18th-century orangery with its Cotswold stone roof and large arched windows. It can accommodate seating for 160 guests outside and 40 guests inside. Or if you prefer you can exchange your vows under the boughs of Hamswell House’s 400-year-old Lime tree, in front of the house. For those that prefer a Church wedding the charming church of St Mary the Virgin is only 10 minutes from Hamswell House in the village of Marshfield.

Romance in the Gardens of Hamswell House

After the excitement and euphoria of the confetti throw and formal group photos have been done. I love to sneak off somewhere quiet to take some intimate wedding portraits of the two of you. Soft beautiful photographs infused with light and full of love and romance, that show the deep connection between the two of you.
