On the day itself, I'm quietly everywhere. Unobtrusive when the moments are unfolding, your cheerleader the second you need one, and permanently three steps ahead of trouble.
And ready for anything means exactly that. I've mended a bride's dress minutes before the aisle, and I've moved an entire wedding cake into the garden because the light was insanely dreamy. Veils escued, hems stitched, and a supply of safety pins and modesty tape always at the ready. Half the job is handling the hiccups; the other half is seeing the possibilities nobody else has spotted. I turn up ready for both.
Then, when the light goes golden, we'll slip away for the stolen half hour: just the two of you and me, enough direction that you never wonder what to do with your hands, enough space that what I capture is actually you. Capturing weddings across Devon and beyond
Elopements on Dartmoor, golden hour celebrations on the English Riviera, clifftop vows above the South Devon coast, garden gatherings, church weddings, civil ceremonies and fusion weddings that bring together cultures and hearts: I photograph them all, and I feel absurdly lucky that Devon is my office. From wild moorland light to palm trees and pastel seafronts, this county does romance better than anywhere I know.
I'm a recommended wedding photographer at some of the loveliest venues in the county, including the dreamy Deer Park Country House near Honiton, the stylish Upton Barn, and the ever wholesome River Cottage.
