“Thank you, I love the pictures of Andy picking me up”
I first met Bekki and Andy last year when they came to my home for a consultation to talk about their wedding. They were referred to me by a previous couple whose wedding I had shot, and whom I absolutely adore. So I knew I was going to love Bekki and Andy and we would get on like a house on fire.
Andy works for the forces so they were carefully planning their beautiful wedding at the newly opened Rockbeare Manor so that he would not be on a posting away. They both wanted a really relaxed and low key wedding, that felt like a home wedding, with all their family and friends there to share and enjoy the day – with a little be of milatary tradition shown in too. Andy and his colleagues would be wearing their military uniform. And Bekki and Andy would enjoying exiting to a sword salute instead of confetti. I was so thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, as I knew the moment they mentioned the sword salute I wanted to do their wedding.
So having decided they wanted their engagement shoot at the beach I met them at Exmouth Beach on this super misty Friday morning in March. The sea and beach may have been covered in a mist so thick that you could barely see the sea, but the atmosphere was upbeat and fun, with just a tad of romance thrown in. And really for a couple who claim to be ‘not natural posers’, I think the photos show that the camera loves them.
