Hi, I’m Jennifer Jane — but you can call me Jen, or JJ if we’re friends
I live in the heart of Devon with my husband, our daughter, and a small and opinionated menagerie: a dog with zero concept of personal space, cats who run the house, and chickens who have opinions about everything. It's gloriously chaotic — and entirely, lovingly under control.
I'm outdoors whenever I can be. Barefoot on the sand, losing myself in golden light, wandering somewhere with no signal and views that make you stop. The light here does something extraordinary. Together with Devon's wild, beautiful landscape, there is nowhere more magical to make photographs.
From Dartmoor elopements to coastal celebrations to elegant countryside weddings across Devon, I photograph it all with one obsession: finding the truth in every moment.
I'm a fine art Devon wedding photographer with an editorial edge and a deep love for the golden hour. Romantic, never saccharine. Editorial, never stiff. Every frame feels like it belongs in a magazine without losing a single drop of what's real.
And at the heart of it all? I want people to feel seen. Weddings aren't about perfection, they're about truth. Joyful, messy, unfiltered, unscripted truth. That's where the magic lives. It's in the quiet looks and loud laughs, the tear that slips free, the crumpled vows, the squeeze of a hand when no one's watching. The blink-and-you-miss-it gold.
When I'm not behind the lens you'll find me with a gloriously unhinged playlist, a good book and a candle I absolutely didn't need. I've scubaed with humpback whales, listened to lions roar at a safari sunrise and got up at 5am to walk Venice without the crowds. But my favourite place is still home, in Devon, with my husband, our daughter, dog at my feet and cat on a lap, no plans except being together
Oh — and I love love. That feeling of having your person, your ride or die, your safe place. The one who leaves the peas off your plate, turns the heated seat on before you've asked, and always buys the sensitive skin shower gel. It's why I turn up to every wedding like it's the best day of my life. Because honestly? It kind of is.
