I am so excited to share this beautiful orchard wedding at the Corn Barn in Devon. The Corn Barn is a beautiful eighteenth-century barn. Originally used for the threshing and storage of Corn. Today it is a beautiful bright, spacious Devon Barn, with pretty manicured gardens and a large apple orchard. The perfect space to say ‘I do’ or have an orchard wedding.

A Tale of Modern Day Romance
The story of how our Bride and Groom met is a tale of modern-day romance. A match made on Tinder. Our lonely heart Groom stumbled across his Bride’s profile, where he was delighted to find they matched. He quickly wrote her a rather witty message. After a few messages back and forth a date was set. On the day of the date, he lost a contact lens. He would be wearing the only glasses he could find. An old geeky pair about 4 prescriptions out of date. Not put off, our Bride turned up for their date and waited where they had agreed. And waited…

Our Groom wearing his out of date glasses struggled to see where he was going and missed the meeting point. Had it not been for the description of himself he had given. A tall 6’7″ guy wearing geeky glasses our two love birds might never have met. However, seeing a tall good looking guy in geeky glasses about to disappear around the corner. Our Bride shouted out “Oi, where do you think you’re going?” Rescuing him from missing the date. And the rest is history.

The Bride looked effortlessly beautiful in a beautiful dress designed by Kate Walker Bridal. To complement the stunning backless lace dress she wore gorgeous shoes by designer Jenny Packham. Poppy’s Florist did an incredible job with the flowers creating beautiful lush pink floral displays. This included the bouquet that smelt amazing. To complement the blushing Bride, the Groom wore a dashing navy suit by Charles Tyrwhitt.

Time to crack on with duties. The Groomsmen welcomed all the guests. Helped by the fabulous bespoke wooden signage made by Kilkie Sands. And the Bridesmaids awaited the arrival of the Bride. She arrived in a stunning white vintage Jaguar from Abbey Wedding Cars.

A Lush Orchard Wedding at The Corn Barn

The Orchard wedding took place amongst the apple trees under a large Oak tree with a wooden gazebo. Among all their friends and family, Koren and Mark said ‘I do’. Followed by much clapping and cheering and lots of smiling happy faces. After the ceremony, it was back to the gardens of the barn to enjoy canapes and drinks. And whilst the guest did that we snuck off for a few wedding portraits in the orchards.

After a luscious warm afternoon spent enjoying time with their guests, it was time for the wedding breakfast. This was a yummy sharing table provided by the amazing Pickleshack. Eliza May Prints created menus with an elegant hand-painted pink floral detail which sat on tables. Favours were little rose pins with a donation to Dorothy House Hospice Care.

After the hilarious speeches, which had everyone in tears of laughter, the couple cut their wedding cake. Going for something a little bit different, they decided to cut their cake outside. And have all their guests waving sparklers whilst they cut the cake. Next it was time for the newlyweds to hit the dance floor for their first dance. The Couple spun around the dancefloor to the tune of James Bay’s ‘If You Ever Want To Be In Love’. Then everyone partied the night away under the electric atmosphere.
