The Great Barn Devon is such a beautiful venue, which is why I was so excited to be photographing this amazing this wedding. The Great Barn is located in the rolling hills of the Devonshire Countryside. And has been renovated to an extremely high standard. It’s a perfect wedding venue for couples who want a barn wedding with a luxury feel.

The happy couple first met when they were at school together, and it’s been true love ever since. They chose the Great Barn Devon, because they wanted a relaxed but elegant wedding, centred around the colour white. And as soon as they saw the barn they knew they had found the perfect wedding venue.
With the beautiful lighting in the barn and the floral decor everywhere the venue looked stunning. Earth Gallery Flowers did an incredible job with the bouquets, buttonholes and table decorations which followed the white theme. They consisted of white Roses, Freesias and Gerberas, with sprays of fern and eucalyptus leaves. Dressed in white too, the bridesmaids perfectly complemented the bride in her beautiful fairytale gown from Willowby by Watters at Tilly Trotters Bridal

Spotlight remote-control lighting was used to ensure the couple were perfectly lit at all times. From the moment the bride walked down the aisle with her father until she walked back with her new husband. On exiting the Barn, friends and family showered the couple with confetti.

A Picture of Happiness at The Great Barn Devon
After the ceremony, we popped out into the fields behind The Great Barn for a few portraits. Brodie looked beautiful in her stunning gown of tulle with a plunging bodice, low cut back, pearl detailing. And Ollie looked equally dashing in his dark blue suit by Skopes. They looked the picture of happiness as they enjoyed the beautiful weather and a bit of time together as husband and wife at last.

After a beautiful afternoon spent enjoying time with their guests, it was time for the wedding breakfast. This was a sumptuous feast provided by Dartmoor Kitchen. The guests found their seats by the innovative wine bottle table plan. Each bottle featured a label with guests names displayed. On the tables were wedding favours of miniature bottles of pink gin.

Evening Festivities at The Great Barn Devon
After the riotous speeches, which had everyone in tears of laughter, the couple cut their wedding cake. They decided to keep the cake elegant and simple in plain white with a bespoke cake topper, Whilst having an additional Bride and Groom Caterpillar cake for a bit of humour.
Taking advantage of the longer day and extra light, we grabbed a couple more portraits in the walled garden, before Brodie threw her bouquet.
It was then time for the newlyweds to hit the dance floor for a romantic first dance. Before the Groomsmen performed a dance routine to a selection of songs including ‘Gangnam style’ . Then everyone partied the night away under the jovial atmosphere of The Great Barn.
